Vaccinations

No matter the age of your pet we are able to help plan the appropriate course of vaccinations over their lifetime. For the first year of their lives, kittens and puppies require vaccinations at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. These “boosters” do just that: “boost” their young immune systems so that they can meet the viral challenges they will encounter as they grow. During their adult lives, cats and dogs require regular vaccinations, given either yearly or every 3 years depending on the type of vaccine given as their immune systems have matured.

Sadly, in the Bloor West Village area we do see many of these preventable viruses. The good thing is that most of the vaccinations we use to protect against these harmful viruses can be administered every 3 years. Your Veterinarian will discuss all of your options with you and together you will decide on the best treatment plan for your pet.
